Nita Josephine Killianread bio
Nita Killian is an Irish, first class honours graduate of both Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School’s Master’s of Accounting, and University College Dublin’s (UCD) Bachelor of Commerce International with Chinese. Throughout her university studies she has attained the prestigious UCD Ad Astra Academic scholarship, was awarded the UCD Lochlann Quinn School of Business Student of the Year 2016 and was a recipient of the Bachelor of Commerce (International) Graduate Scholarship. Introduced to China via her undergraduate studies, Nita possesses a keen interest in Chinese language and culture. She has studied in both Renmin University in Beijing and Fudan University in Shanghai. In 2015 Nita won the Chinese Bridge Competition for college students in Dublin and went on to represent Ireland in the finals in Changsha, appearing on Chinese national television. Nita is an accomplished pianist, having studied piano from the age of seven. She has competed in various competitions, winning the Feis Ceoil Esposito Cup in 2012 and has attained diplomas in piano teaching and performance. Nita is currently employed in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ dynamic aircraft leasing department in Dublin’s financial district. She is concurrently pursuing professional qualifications in Irish taxation and accountancy. At the Yenching Academy, Nita desires to broaden her understanding of the Chinese commercial market, with a particular focus on economics and management, thereby advancing her business knowledge and satiating her passion for China.
