Thiago De Oliveira Braga received his International Relations degree from the Superior School of Propaganda and Marketing (ESPM) in Porto Alegre, Brazil in 2013. Following that, he moved to Beijing, where he studied Mandarin Chinese for one year at Communication University of China. His main academic interest is the social consequences of the economic reforms of 1978 in the PRC. At the Yenching Academy, he carried out his research from a migrant worker’s perspective, analyzing how experiencing globalization while not being part of it can change the desires and dreams of the nongmingong.

Cibele Reschke graduated from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. During her undergraduate studies, she undertook exchange programs at Sorbonne Nouvelle University, in Paris, and at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where she also worked at the Shanghai World Expo 2010. Her professional experience includes working for Globo News Broadcast and Abril Publisher. In 2012, Cibele worked in the UK on a project with the French Training and Improvement of Journalists Center (CFPJ) to cover the impact of the 2012 Olympic Games. In 2015, she published her first book, named “China made in Brazil”, which covers the history of the diplomatic relations between both nations.
